Sacred Reading
Lectio Divina or Sacred Reading is the centuries' old monastic practice of slowly reading and meditating on Holy Scripture or other spiritual texts, as a form of prayer and intimate encounter with the Divine. We do our Sacred Reading at times of the day when our minds and spirits are free from the demands of the day: either early in the morning before Morning Prayer, or in the evening, when the day's activities are over.
